ஆய்வுச்சுருக்கம்

குறுந்தொகை 156வது பாடலை ஆய்ந்து, அப்பாடலில் உள்ள 'பார்ப்பனமகன்' பற்றித் தெளிவுறுவது இக்கட்டுரையின் நோக்கம் ஆகும். பாடலின் பொருளோடு பிணைந்த நுட்பமான உணர்ச்சி வெளிப்பாடு பார்ப்பாரைச் சுட்டும் பிற தொகையிலக்கியப் பாடல்களோடு ஒருங்கு வைத்து நோக்கும்போது மட்டுமே தெரிய வரும். மரபுவழிப்பட்ட விளக்கமுறை ஆய்வாக அமையும் இக்கட்டுரைக்குக் குறுந்தொகை 156ஆம் பாடல்  மட்டுமே முதல்நிலைத் தரவாக அமையப் பிற தொகையிலக்கியப் பாடல்கள்,  உரையாசிரியர் கூற்றுகள் ஆகியன இரண்டாம்நிலைத் தரவுகளாக அமைகின்றன.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to picturise 'paarppana makan' as depicted in Kurunthokai156. There is a need to correlate the hymn with those of the other hymns in which paarppaar is mentioned so that the subject matter along with the emotional expression may be understood in the right sense. This is a descriptive study in which the specific lyric alone serves as the primary source. The other hymns in the anthologies and the commentators' views serve as the secondary sources. As a result we are able to conclude that the specific 'paarppana makan' is a passerby i.e. wayfarer facing a satirical comment by the hero.
