இன்றைய உலகமயமாதல் யுகத்தில் உலகியல் மாற்றங்களுக்கேற்ப ஆளுமை மிக்க மனித சமூகத்தை உருவாக்கும் பொறுப்பு கல்வித்துறைக்கு உண்டு. வகுப்பறையில் பல்வகைத் தன்மை கொண்ட விசேட தேவையுடைய மாணவர்கள் காணப்படலாம். பெரும் விசேட தேவைகள் சார் மாணவர்கள் தொடர்பாக அதிகம் கவனம் செலுத்தப்படுவதில்லை. எனவே அவர்களது பிரச்சினைகளைக் களைந்து சீரான கற்றலுக்கு வாய்ப்பளிப்பது பாடசாலையின் கடமையாகும். அந்த வகையில் “சாதாரண பாடசாலைகளில் விசேட தேவைகள் சார் மாணவர்கள் கற்றலில் எதிர்கொள்ளும் சாவல்கள், கற்றல் வாய்ப்புக்கள் எனும் தலைப்பின் கீழ் இதனைக் கண்டறிந்து அவற்றை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான தீர்வாலோசனைகளையும் விதந்துரைப்புக்களையும் முன்வைப்பதே இவ்வாய்வின் நோக்கமாக அமைகின்றது. இவ்வாய்வானது அளவை நிலை ஆய்வாக வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டு முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டது. பலாங்கொடை கல்வி வலயத்தின் இம்புல்பே கோட்டத்தின் ஐந்து பெருந்தோட்டப்புறத் தமிழ் பாடசாலைகளில் தரம் 6 – 9 வரையான வகுப்புக்களிலிருந்து நோக்க மாதிரி அடிப்படையில் 100 விசேடதேவைசார் மாணவர்கள் இவ்வாய்வுக்காக தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டனர். மேலும் 50 பெற்றோர்களும், 50 கனிஸ்ட இடைநிலை பிரிவு ஆசிரியர்களும், எளிய எழுமாற்று அடிப்படையில் தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டனர். அதிபர்களும் எளிய எழுமாற்று மாதிரியில் உள்வாங்கப்பட்டிருந்தனர். வினாக்கொத்து, நேர்காணல், அவதானிப்பு போன்ற தரவு சேகரிப்புக் கருவிகளைப் பயன்படுத்தித் தொகைசார் மற்றும் பண்புசார் தரவுகள் திரட்டப்பட்டன. பெறப்பட்ட தரவுகள் நூற்றுவீதம் மூலம் குறித்துக் காட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன. இவ்வாய்வின் மூலம் பெறப்பட்ட முடிவுகளின் அடிப்படையில் பாடசாலையில் விசேட தேவைகள்சார் மாணவர்கள் கற்றலில் சவால்களை எதிர்கொள்கின்றனர். அவர்களுக்கான கற்றல் வாய்ப்புக்களும் குறைவாகவே காணப்படுகின்றமையைக் கண்டறிய முடிந்தது. இதற்குப் பாடசாலையின் வளப்பற்றாக்குறை, பெற்றோர்களின் கவனமின்மை, பாடசாலை செயற்பாடுகளின் திருப்தியின்மை முக்கிய காரணங்களாக அமைகின்றன. எனவே பல்வேறுபட்ட கற்றல் வாய்ப்புக்களைப் பாடசாலை மட்டத்தில் ஒழுங்கமைப்பதோடு அவற்றிற்குப் பெற்றோரின் பங்களிப்பையும் பெற்றுக்கொடுப்பதால் மாணவர்களிடையே சிறந்த கற்றல் விருத்தியை ஏற்படுத்த முடியும் என்பது கண்டறியப்பட்டது. அத்துடன் கற்றலில் நலிவு நிலையைக் காட்டும் மாணவர்களுக்கான கற்றலின்பால் உள்ள ஈடுபாட்டை அதிகரிக்கவும், கற்றலை ஊக்குவிக்கும் வகையிலான உத்திகள் நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படல் வேண்டும்.

Abstract

In globalization, the education sector has a responsibility to create a humane society that is responsive to global changes. Students with special needs can be found in a variety of classrooms. Greater special needs students are not given much attention. It is therefore the duty of the school to eliminate their problems and provide an opportunity for balanced learning. In that regard, the purpose of this study is to identify the challenges faced by students with special needs in learning in ordinary schools and to present solutions and suggestions for improving them. This study is designed and carried out as a scale level study

This study has been conducted focusing on the plantation Tamil schools in the Impulpe division of the Balangoda education zone. For this purpose, 5 Tamil schools have been identified on the basis of the facility model and since then 100 special needs students and 50 parents of those students have been identified on the basis of the objective model from classes 6 to 9 of junior intermediate section. The 50 junior intermediate teachers and 5 principals of the schools were identified as models on the basis of light transformation and all the data obtained from them qualitatively and quantitatively were analyzed through Excel and marked with tables and diagrams. Based on the results obtained from this survey, students with special needs in school face learning challenges. Learning opportunities for them were also found to be low. The main reasons for this are the lack of resources in the school, the inattention of the parents and the dissatisfaction of the school activities. It was therefore found that organizing the various learning opportunities at the school level and involving the participation of parents in them can lead to better learning development among the students.  There are also suggestions on how to increase learning engagement and encourage learning for students with learning disabilities.
