Abstract

Schools, universities, and other educational institutions were shuttered by the spread of coronavirus. Therefore, students were compelled to follow their study via distance education. Especially, G.C.E A/L students, who are pursuing their study via e-learning faced a number of difficulties. by considering this issue, the study aims to find out about challenges faced by students in learning   online. In order to get the perception of the students on this issue, the data of this research collected through the field and library. The primary data was collected from the questionnaires distributed among 100 students to each section, such as Arts, Science, Mathematics, Business, and Technology. website articles, journals, school documents, and reports were used as a secondary data to set up the theoretical framework for this study. In order to obtain accurate scientific results, the qualitative and quantitative methods are used in deducing the questionnaire using Ms Excel 2016. The study's findings indicate that students do not have own smartphone or laptop to learn online, they are unpredictable in their use of electronic devices and social media, and they are unable to fully comprehend lectures due to a lack of adequate coverage, and unable to concentrate study due to the diseases such as cataracts, back pain, body fatigue, headaches, and neck pain. This study recommended to include online education as a subject in school and university curricula in the future and providing a second chance for last attempt students  in  university Entrance .
